The Queen, 12” by 24” - 2024

History is one of my passions, specifically fashion history. When told to create a piece based on a moment in history, I wanted to select a moment that would let me detail an elegant gown to my heart’s content. To me, there was no better option than to choose Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953. In this piece, every single jewel, pearl, and appliqué was hand-rendered, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was a joy to create.
